Patricia C. Wrede is well known for her young adult (but highly enjoyable for adults) Enchanted Forest fantasies. Both adults and younger readers will also enjoy the short stories of Book of Enchantments. All the stories have her distinct humor: "The Sixty-two Curses of Caliph Arenschadd" in the same vein as the two Enchanted Forest stories, the sad, dreamlike "Stronger Than Time," even the more serious and modern "Roses by Moonlight" or "The Lorelei." This is a good book of short fantasies, as well as a must-have for fans of Wrede's particular magic.
