The appendix contains a complete list of those articles used
in this meta-analysis. The data from 77 studies were included
in the analysis because they met each of the following criteria:

The study investigated
a relationship between some measure of hypnotic
susceptibility and the Tellegen Absorption Scale; |

ii)

It employed some commonly
used measure of hypnotizability (see coding section); |
|
iii)
|
The study used a version
of the Tellegen Absorption Scale; |
|
iv)
|
The study reported the
sample size and some form of parametric statistic
or probability value; |
|
v)
|
The study reported experimental
procedures in enough detail to allow coding. |
