Daughter of Magic
C. Dale Brittain
Baen Books. $5.99
Daimbert just wants to spend some time with his daughter
Antonia, but work keeps interfering. An evil wizard, some
disturbing miracles, and Antonia's own flare for magic and
improvisation are only a few of Daimbert's problems.
C. Dale Brittain's latest book about Daimbert of Yurt is, as
always, a clever and enjoyable mix of mystery and fantasy.
Daughter of Magic is neither a repetition of the earlier
books nor a contrived sequel. An interesting ongoing story is
starting to emerge in the series as well. It's a good thing
wizards are long-lived!
